Andrew L. Singer, Esq.

Andrew L. Singer has been representing clients on Cape Cod since 1996. Andrew was raised and educated on Cape Cod and resides with his wife Fanny and two children in Yarmouthport.

A Phi Beta Kappa and Honors graduate of Vassar College (B. A. in Asian Studies in 1988), he studied at Beijing University from 1986 to 1987. He was a teaching assistant and received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center (J.D. 1994). He is admitted to the Oregon State Bar (1994) where he worked for the State Legislature and Secretary of State drafting legislation and administrative rules. He is admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar (1996).

Andrew is a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Oregon State Bar Association, and Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association (REBA), and is a Sponsor Member of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. (MCLE).

Andrew has qualified as an expert witness and testified in two Eminent Domain/Land Damages cases in Barnstable Superior Court.

Andrew serves and has served on the nonprofit Boards of local business and community organizations, including:

  • Former Trustee - Cape Cod Museum of Art, 2002 - 2011, Clerk 2003 - 2011
  • Former Trustee - Duffy Health Center, 2002 - 2011 Clerk 6/2004 - 2011
  • Former Trustee - The Laurel School, 2001 - 2009, President 2004 - 2009
  • Former Director - Board of the Dennis Chamber of Commerce, 1998 - 2004.

Andrew speaks Chinese (Mandarin).

Jonathon D. Idman, Esq.
Associate

Jon was raised and educated on Cape Cod and resides with his wife Sarah and two children in Harwich.

He is a graduate of Boston University (B.A., cum laude with distinction, philosophy and comparative religion, 1994), and Penn State University, the Dickinson School of Law (J.D., 2004). During law school, he received the CALI award for the highest grade in his Environmental Law class.

Jon has practiced in the field of zoning and land use law on Cape Cod since his admission to the Massachusetts State Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Barnstable County and Massachusetts Bar Associations, the Boston University Alumni Club of Cape Cod and the Islands, and the Penn State Alumni Association.

He currently serves as a coach and Director of Harwich Little League; as a member of the Town of Harwich Finance Committee; as a member of the Land Acquisition Committee of the Harwich Conservation Trust; as a member of the Economic Development Committee of the Harwich Chamber of Commerce; and as a member of the Vestry of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans.

Jon formerly served as a member and Director of the Harwich/Dennis Rotary Club, a Director and Treasurer of the Dennis Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Town of Harwich Planning Board.

Before attending law school, clerking and practicing as an attorney, Jon was a residential carpenter and remodeler in Washington State.

Myer R. Singer, founding partner, has been representing clients on Cape Cod for more than 40 years. Born in Everett and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, Mr. Singer has lived and practiced on Cape Cod since 1965.

An Honors graduate of Boston University (B.S. in Business Administration., 1960), he received his law degree from Boston University School of Law (LL.B, 1963). He is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar (1963). He is a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association and American Bar Association.

He has testified as an expert witness in Eminent Domain/Land Damage cases.
